After-Admission Checklist:
Beginning Freshman
Congratulations! You have been admitted to National Institute of Technology (NIT University).
We are looking forward to meeting you and helping you succeed at NIT.
Please read the steps to take next as you prepare for your first year.
But wait! First, please show us your NIT pride by taking a selfie with your acceptance letter.
After you receive your acceptance package, there are several steps you need to take to officially secure your place by emailing your Intent to Enroll form to Admissions Specialist, Ms. Henna Hung, at hennah@nit.university. If you have any
additional documents that require your signature, fill those out as well. An enrollment deposit is not required.
We extend financial aid through merit- and need-based scholarships, federal and state grants, federal work-study, and student loans. Please use the following links to start your application:
Incoming undergraduate students need to take NIT’s Math Placement Test (MPT) and the Writing Placement Test (WPT).
These tests are not admission tests; they are used by NIT to place students in the appropriate General Education math and
writing courses. You will receive instructions on how to complete the placement tests once you submit your Intent to Enroll.
We will email you a Welcome Letter once you submit your Intent to Enroll. The Welcome Letter includes further details on
how to register for classes, new students’ orientation, assessments, and log-in
information of your NIT email and Moodle accounts (NIT’s learning management system).
Are you interested in taking a college level class over summer? Would you like to get acquainted with NIT’s people and
resources and make friends? Bridge2U is a great way to kick start your college journey over the summer.
New student orientation, also known as UDays at NIT, is designed to give our new students an introduction to the campus
culture and resources and to help you with the transition to college life. All new students are REQUIRED to attend UDays.
We will email you the further details once we receive your Intent to Enroll.
Send us your final transcript as well as any AP, college, or dual credit documentation after you graduate.
Future class registration may be impacted if your final transcripts are not received prior to the start of your first term at NIT.
Your school administrator may send your transcript through Parchment electronically.
Or, mail your official transcripts to this address:
